The air tightness test by FINESTRENURITH is illustrated below.
In order to make the figures neutral, the air tightness test by FINESTRENURITH has been performed by authorised institutes.
The FINESRENURITH air tightness test has been carried out according to the norm EN 1026:2000 and with reference to EN 12207:1999 by C.N.R. (Consiglio Nazionale per le Ricerche) – I.T.C. (Istituto per le Tecnologie della Costruzione).
NURITH has also carried out air tightnes tests in extreme conditions, therefore a balcony window of dimensions of 160cm in width and 250cm in height (dimensions that are very unusual for our homes, but chosen to extend the results to windows of smaller sizes than the tested sample)
The test consists of:
measuring the permeability of air of the sample, subject to a specific range of pressure applications. As indicated by the norm, two sequential tests were carried out, one with positive pressure and one with negative pressure, as illustrated below.
The test consisted of two different stages, each of which was carried out as follows: permeability of the air of the chamber was measured by submitting the sample to the sequence described prior to total sealing of all of its joints and, subsequently, once this seal had been removed, permeability o the sample and of the test chamber was measured: through a mathematical difference of the two measurements taken, air permeability of the test sample was registered, expressed in [m³/h], in correspondence to the different pressure levels. In both cases, as indicated by the test sequence, three pressure impulses were applied, with an increasing duration of no less than one second, each of which was maintained for at least 3 seconds with a value of 10% exceeding the maximum test pressure; the values of air permeability at gradually increasing pressure, at minimum intervals of 10 seconds were measured, up to a maximum pressure of ± 600 Pa, according to the following sequence in an absolute value: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 450, 600 Pa. For each increase in test pressure applied, the result of measurements of te air flow Vx was adjusted according to the real temperature values Tx expressed in [°C] and an atmospheric pressure Px expressed in [kPa] measured during execution of the test, to extractthe air flow aria V0 in normal conditions (T0=293 K, P0=101,3 kPa):

The FINESTRENURIH sample, submitted to the air tightness test at positive and negative pressure, has been classified as “CLASS 4”
